Students´ Mathematic Literacy of Pre-primary Education in Domain Geometry and Measuring

Abstract

Developing geometric thinking is necessary for all age groups of children through various appropriate activities. Therefore, understanding this concept is also important for future teachers at kindergarten. This didactic article presents results obtained from testing students of bachelor's study at university. The results listed in this article are based on one test focused on basic geometric knowledge of students. Selected students are from the study field Pre-school and Elementary Education and their knowledge are necessary for course called Geometry and Measuring. The results obtained are not generalized.
