Publication ethics

The editors, authors and the peer reviewers commit to the all following ethic statements which are based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Acta Mathematica Nitriensia
The publication of an article in blind peer-reviewed journal AMN concerns with mathematical education theory, innovations and research in education of mathematics teachers at all school levels, current problems and trends in mathematics education, assessment and evaluation in mathematics education, ICT in mathematics education, psychology in mathematics education and also research in mathematics education.

Duties of Editorial Board
The editorial board continually strives to increase the quality of the journal.

• The editor-in-chief through the editorial communications with the experts form the scientific and editorial board.
• The editor-in-chief may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editor-in-chief confers with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
• The editor-in-chief is fully responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published.
• The editorial board evaluates manuscripts for their intellectual content regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, creed, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
• Blind peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions.
• The editor may also assist the author in improving the paper.
• The editorial board and staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.
• Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in the editor's own research without the written express consent of the author.

Duties of Reviewers
The reviewers are elected anonymously, based on their expertise and claimed these agreements:

• The reviewers must report any conflict of interest immediately, and keep their objectivity.
• The reviewers must not misuse findings stated in the assessed manuscript for their own or for any other's benefit.
• The reviewers are obliged to refuse the preparation of the review because of the conflict of professional interests.
• Manuscripts received for review are treated as confidential documents and must not be used for personal advantage. They will be shown to or discussed with nobody except the editor-in-chief's authorization.
• Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
• Reviewers should also call the editor's attention to any substantial similarity or overlap with the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper which they have personal knowledge of.
• The review process may take several weeks and the review output will be one of the following decisions: Accept without revision, Accept with minor revisions, Accept with major revision/re- reviews, Reject.

Duties of Editors

• The editor makes a commitment to cooperate with reviewers and authors so that all manuscripts will be subjected to a well-established, fair, unbiased peer review and refereeing procedure, and considered on the basis of their significance, novelty and contribution to the journal's readership.
• The editor declares that the reviewers' identities remains anonymous to authors. Each paper will be provided with a paper ID for further reference and anonymous reviewers will be in contact with authors via editor.
• Blind peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions.
• The editor may also assist the author in improving the paper.
• Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in the editor's own research without the written express consent of the author.

Duties of Authors

• Authors have to follow the instructions and guidelines For the authors precisely.
• The submissions which significantly neglect the template cannot be accepted.
• The authors may not provide the manuscript to any other editorial staff for publishing. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
• Only those members who contributed significantly to achievement of the submitted research results may be included among the authors of the manuscript and should be listed as co-authors.
• Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.
• The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included in the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
• All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
• When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate with the editor to retract the paper.
• Any statement, an observation, derivation, or argument that had been reported should be accompanied by a relevant citation.
• After publishing, the authors will receive a copy of the journal or may download the journal from the website.
