Abstract: The non - standard and application tasks eliminate formal learning and they approximate mathematics to pupils´ needs. In this article we deal with application and non – standard tasks in geometry. We focus on the Mathematics textbooks for the second level of elementary school published before and after the educational reform in 2008. We focus on analysis of textbooks from the perspective of occurrence of different mathematical tasks in curriculum related to Geometry.
