Full paper	(An Analysis of The Pupils´ Solutions of Selected Tasks Focused on Fractions)

Abstract: In our article we focused on selected tasks from specially developed fraction test which authors are Marilena Pantziara and George Philippou. These tasks are focused on measure subconstruct of fractions together with the notions of equivalence, comparison and addition of fractions. The aim of the article was to analyze the pupils´ solutions in the light of the correct solutions. We found out that the most problematic tasks was the tasks focused on measure subconstruct of fractions. It implies that the teaching the fractions through the number line probably absent in Slovak schools. The research was realized in May and June 2017. The research sample consist of 930 ninth graders from 35 lower secondary schools in Slovakia, mostly from Nitra, Lučenec and Nové Zámky.
