Abstract: This study is focused on knowledge of pre-service teachers for pre-school and primary education. Some requirements for pupils' knowledge in fifth year of their schooling are compared with pre-service teachers' knowledge in primary mathematics As a research tool is applied mathematical part of an admission test to eight-year grammar school which consists of the curriculum of primary mathematics.
