Abstract: The notion of the mapping belongs to the basis of mathematics. It is the key notion for students of mathematics on universities especially for incoming teachers of mathematics. Many students have appreciable problems with mapping operations. It is evident in situations when it needed to devise a mapping with predetermined properties. The students have difficulty deeper understanding of a composite mapping. Their knowledge does not go deep and to substance. The mathematical thinking in a work with mappings is formed by construction tasks about mappings with given properties in the paper.
